Professor Hinkle Spotted at the North Pole

professorhinkleWe received a report from Frosty earlier today that Professor Hinkle was lurking around his wardrobe closet up at the North Pole.

We have several security teams out looking for him right now.

If anyone spots this man, please call the main security office immediately.  He is very persuasive, but is not to be trusted.

As you are well aware, Professor Hinkle will not give up until he gets that magical hat back from Frosty.  Without the hat, we have no Frosty.

Story Time and Snacks with Mrs. Claus

storytime1Mrs. Claus and some volunteer teen elves will be having story time and snacks again this weekend in the great hall for all the elf children.

Parent elves are welcome to bring their kids by this Saturday at 4 p.m. so that they can go out and have some “time off”.

There will be several stories, snacks, and crafts the little ones can enjoy.

She has also asked that you bring a sleeping bag this year.  Towards the end of the evening everyone can curl up on the floor and we will be watching a couple of Christmas movies.

“They can take as long as they need,” said Mrs. Claus when we asked her what time it was over.

Tom Turkey Add New Coloring Page

terrifiedTurkeyIn his ongoing campaign to save his fellow turkey’s during the holiday season, Tom Turkey has posed for a new coloring page.  Here is a quote from Tom himself:

I suggest… gobble, gobble, that since everyone decorates for Christmas early… gobble, gobble, and songs play in stores, gobble, gobble, why not skip Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas… gobble, gobble…  and eat the pig.

You can now download the new color page on Tom Turkey’s Resource Page.

Workshop Employees Returning Today from Eclipse Trip

rWorkshop workers from Local 2525 will be returning to the Pole this morning from their trip to Australia to view the solar eclipse.

I spoke with union president Gene Cransin this morning via satellite phone and he said that the trip was a great way for the team to do some bonding and relax for the upcoming holiday season.  He would like to plan more trips after the holiday season.

This has been the first time in elf history that a team has gone to the southern hemisphere to view a solar eclipse.  The elves had were able to take the entire floor of a hotel in Cairns, Australia this year which left them able to sneak up to the roof of the building to view the eclipse.

Their arrival will be at approximately 2:00 p.m. today.  We will be transferring the power grid over to the transportation station at about 1:50 p.m.  The transfer should last approximately 15 minutes since there are so many to come back to the Pole.

You can read more about the rare full solar eclipse here.
