How much does it cost for Santa to travel?

OCT10th 020A study was done in 2010 by that says, Santa spends about $19,115.49 per year (or $1,593 per month) for travel expenses every time to goes out to visit little boys and girls; however, since he travels about 4,670,193.27 miles during his trip, that is only $0.004 a mile.  That’s pretty cheap.

Santa insists on strict diet for Comet

santaIndividualSanta spent some time today taking each reindeer out individually for a short flight around the poll.  He has noticed during the last few test flights that were was some kind of sluggish response in some of the turns.  Everyone was contributing the issue to a new harness Santa is using this year, but they were not able to work out the details.

After today’s solo flights, the problem has been found.  Santa believes that Comet is still 20lbs overweight and has placed him on a strict dies for the December 5, St. Nicholas Day run.  He needs Comet to lose these extra pounds so that the entire team is safe.

As you may know, Comet has a sweet tooth, and it is hard for him to stay away from the snacks.  Now that the big man has made the order, we all need to keep our eyes open so that Comet doesn’t sneak.

Great Chat Session with Mrs. Claus Tonight

chatWe had an awesome chat session tonight with Mrs. Claus.  We had Jester from the Office of Elf Affairs, Jimmy from the Elf Workers Union, of course I (Edward) was present, and Mrs. Claus.  Santa joined in a couple of times, but he was busy making dinner for Mrs. Claus and himself.   Of course he had to start over since he burnt the fist batch, and we had to send over a clean up crew to get Mrs. Claus’ kitchen back in order.

We had Theresa, Jordan, Molly, Mia, Lacey join us and tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.  It seems that the “Monster High” dolls are a big item this year.

Jester logged a complaint with the union.  It turns out that he did not get any of Mrs. Claus’ new peppermint chocolate chip cookies, but Mrs. Claus said that she would make him a special batch.

Jimmy said that he could not stay late, but he would swing by the stable and see if he could find Rudolf to see if there will be any reindeer games schedule before the “Big” trip this year.

There has been talk about scheduling another chat before Christmas.

Professor Hinkle Spotted at the North Pole

professorhinkleWe received a report from Frosty earlier today that Professor Hinkle was lurking around his wardrobe closet up at the North Pole.

We have several security teams out looking for him right now.

If anyone spots this man, please call the main security office immediately.  He is very persuasive, but is not to be trusted.

As you are well aware, Professor Hinkle will not give up until he gets that magical hat back from Frosty.  Without the hat, we have no Frosty.

Story Time and Snacks with Mrs. Claus

storytime1Mrs. Claus and some volunteer teen elves will be having story time and snacks again this weekend in the great hall for all the elf children.

Parent elves are welcome to bring their kids by this Saturday at 4 p.m. so that they can go out and have some “time off”.

There will be several stories, snacks, and crafts the little ones can enjoy.

She has also asked that you bring a sleeping bag this year.  Towards the end of the evening everyone can curl up on the floor and we will be watching a couple of Christmas movies.

“They can take as long as they need,” said Mrs. Claus when we asked her what time it was over.

I suggest… gobble, gobble, that since everyone decorates for Christmas early… gobble, gobble, and songs play in stores, gobble, gobble, why not skip Thanksgiving and go straight to Christmas… gobble, gobble…  and eat the pig.

You can now download the new color page on Tom Turkey’s Resource Page.

Workshop Employees Returning Today from Eclipse Trip

rWorkshop workers from Local 2525 will be returning to the Pole this morning from their trip to Australia to view the solar eclipse.

I spoke with union president Gene Cransin this morning via satellite phone and he said that the trip was a great way for the team to do some bonding and relax for the upcoming holiday season.  He would like to plan more trips after the holiday season.

This has been the first time in elf history that a team has gone to the southern hemisphere to view a solar eclipse.  The elves had were able to take the entire floor of a hotel in Cairns, Australia this year which left them able to sneak up to the roof of the building to view the eclipse.

Their arrival will be at approximately 2:00 p.m. today.  We will be transferring the power grid over to the transportation station at about 1:50 p.m.  The transfer should last approximately 15 minutes since there are so many to come back to the Pole.

You can read more about the rare full solar eclipse here.

The Assembly of Legendary Figures starts a group cookbook

cookbookOne of the issues brought by the group was the lack of public knowledge for all of the Legendary Figures.  With this in mind, the Department of Elfland Security has added a new division for marketing and public relation to aid the several projects and campaigns to grow the awareness of the entire group.

With this being said, the first project that has been undertaken is an official TAOLF Cookbook.  Within this project, all of the Legendary Figures will be able to submit their personal recipes and it will be made available to the public once the project is complete.

We have sent a secured message to all of the Legendary Figures with the directions and security codes to get into the project and start submitting their recipes on

Submissions have already started coming in and if any of the members are having problems submitting recipes, please contact Daisy Shirkmire in the public relations office.

EB Medically Cleared for Return to Easter Island

The good doctor has rechecked EB's urine and missing fur patches. He has determined that EB is no longer dehydrated and his fur is growing back in normally. Due to his good health, Dr. Twinklestein has given EB clearance to return back to Easter Island.

He will leave tomorrow morning.

EB said he had a wonderful time at the North Pole with Mr. and Mrs. Claus and hopes to return for another visit soon.

Elf Team is being sent to Easter Island

imagesCATSQQQLAs EB will be a guest up here for a little while, he has asked that we send an administrative team to Easter Island to help wrap up his factory from this season in preparation for next season.   We will also be sending a communication crew to test out the new communication grid that was installed a few weeks ago.  We are getting poor signals and think a small adjustment needs to be made.

For those going to Easter Island, please report to the transportation station at 8:00 a.m.  Mrs. Claus will have breakfast before your departure.  You should only be gone from the “Pole” for a few day, so please pack accordingly.

You will be using E.B.’s transportation module instead of the jet, so you will arrive there in a matter of minutes.  Just a reminder, the transportation module does not function correctly if you are wearing any titanium jewelry, so please leave this at home.

EB Staying at Santa’s for the week

EB will be a guest at Santa's this week at the request of Mrs. Claus.

Even though Dr. Twinklestein gave EB a medical release, Mrs. Claus wants to be sure EB is fully recovered from his trip before he heads back to Easter Island.

He agreed wholeheartedly and was pleased to get the invite.

Santa says he can visit him at the workshop while he is staying.

Easter Bunny Post delivery Medical Report

The Easter Bunny has had his post delivery medical exam.

Dr. Harold Twinklestein, DES Chief Physician and North Pole Medical Unit Director performed an examination and diagnostic testing for a medical assessment of EB's overall health.

Dr. Twinklestein indicates that EB is in good health following the long journey. EB does require a few shots before next year's journey and he needs to give his right leg a rest, but overall got a medical release from the good doctor.
